Business and Open Source
Benefits of Open Source don't come without a cost. However, besides the smaller monetary requirement, the costs are generally something a business can accomplish. Below is a bit of information on some of the benefits and costs of becoming an Open Source business. * Lowering costs of starting/running a business
- Possible sponsorships for User Groups and Events
- Pool of potential employees who are intelligent and dedicated to the technologies
- Giving back to the community
- Partnering with other businesses using Open Source
- Intelligent employees who care about the software they use
- The ability to provide first class tools with a low or no cost solution 80-90% of the time
