UTOS Voip

In effort to make sure that everyone can make UTOS planning meetings. This wiki document was prepared.

That is right. If you have internet, you're one step closer to VOIP. For those with Linux, this document was prepared with Twinkle in mind.

Setup

1. install twinkle

2. set your username under User Profile > User

3. set domain to voip.jaredsmith.net under User Profile > User

4. set Registrar to voip.jaredsmith.net under User Profile > SIP Server

   • Expiry: not important, should not be atleast
   • Click on Register at startup

5. make sure that you have the correct audio settings under System Settings > Audio

6. Login to the Conference Room (ext 500) and test with someone
   • If you are having trouble contact jsmith in #utos or #utah on irc.freenode.net
   • This also applies for problems or changes to login information
7. Profit $$$
